The highly anticipated Women's Christmas Tea finally arrived the morning of December 7th. Over one hundred and thirty women dressed in festive Christmas outfits filled Fellowship Hall and complemented the burgundy and gold colored room decorations. The indefatigable Julianne Eisele decorated over 130 colorful teacups and made them into pincushions, coveted by all. Tables were laden with delicious tea sandwiches, different flavored scones and pastries made by women volunteers led by Carol Baker and Julianne Eisele. Everyone, led by Anne Ellis and her music students, joyously sang Christmas hymns and carols.
The highlight of the event was Ms. Eleanor Isaacson, an author and our invited inspirational speaker. She captivated the audience with stories of God's presence in her life. God was always with her as a child in World War II in Germany and finally when she immigrated to the United States. God showed His love and care for her in the midst of bombing, starvation, abandonment and even in success. Over a dozen big posters complemented her presentation with pictures and news items. Ms Isaacson could have gone on for hours and no one would have indeed, but there were time constraints. Fortunately, she had brought copies of her best selling book "Dancing From Darkness". Everyone who wanted more of her life story was able to purchase the book.
God's name was praised, honored, and magnified in her spellbinding life story. May Jesus Christ's name be glorified in each of our lives too!
